NATIONAL SUMMARY
A departing winter storm will bring snow, rain and
thunderstorms to the East Coast early tomorrow. In the
Northeast there will be snow and some ice, to the south it
will be warmer and precipitation is expected to be plain
rain. From Maryland to Florida, there will be thunderstorms
early, some can linger into the early afternoon along the
immediate coast. Elsewhere, a storm will continue to drench
California and Oregon with rain and snow. In the Sierra
Nevada through southern Oregon, heavy snow can quickly
accumulate. There can be 2 to 3 feet of snow. Elsewhere,
heavy rain will fall and can lead to flooding. Flooding will
be most prominent in low-lying areas, poor drainage areas
and in burn scars. While it will be dry and sunny for the
central part of the nation, it will be sharply colder.
