The Nation's Weather for Thursday, February 20, 2025
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
In the southern Northeast and mid-Atlantic, there can be
occasional snow and flurries tomorrow. Any heavier burst of
snow can lead to slippery travel. Meanwhile, flurries from a
departing winter storm can linger in North Carolina. Due to
snow and ice on the ground travel will remain slippery.
Outside of a few snow showers in the Rockies, the rest of
the nation will be quite dry. For many locations east of the
Rockies, high temperatures will be well below the historical
averages for late February. In the Plains and Upper Midwest,
temperatures overnight are expected to reach below zero. Dry
conditions and pleasant temperatures are expected across the
West. While clouds will hang over the Northwest, sunny skies
will be abundant in the Southwest. From Arizona to North
Carolina, there will be a gusty breeze.
