The Nation's Weather for Thursday, March 6, 2025
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Tomorrow, a storm will spread snow across portions of the
Rockies along with rain to low-elevation areas. Farther
south, in New Mexico and western Texas, strong winds and
very dry conditions will elevate the risk for fires to
spread across the region. Across Southern California, rain
can be heavy at times, which can bring the potential for
localized flooding, especially in low-lying and poor
drainage areas. Elsewhere, a departing storm will dot
portions of New England with showers and spread snow showers
from Ohio and the West Virginia mountains to New York.
Breezy and cooler conditions can also be expected across the
Northeast, mid-Atlantic and Southeast. Otherwise, sunny to
partly sunny skies and higher temperatures are in store for
much of the South and the Mississippi Valley.
