The Nation's Weather for Sunday, April 6, 2025
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Tomorrow into tomorrow night, thunderstorms from the Gulf
Coast into the Appalachians and Carolina Piedmont are
capable of being severe. These storms can produce flooding
downpours, hail, locally damaging wind gusts and isolated
tornadoes. Showers are anticipated to soak the mid-Atlantic
and parts of the Northeast, mainly in the morning. A storm
will drench much of the Pacific Northwest with rain while
east of the Cascades is expected to remain dry. Otherwise,
the remainder of the country will be largely dry thanks to
high pressure. These areas will also be sunny as well. This
includes the Great Plains, although temperatures in this
region will be running 5-15 degrees Fahrenheit below
historical averages, while in the mid-Atlantic to the Gulf
Coast temperatures will be 5-15 degrees above.
