St. Joseph Catholic School’s athletic association is hosting a muffaletta sale on Thursday, May 9.
The proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the athletic association.
Britt Virden, athletic association president, is looking forward to people enjoying the sandwich while benefiting the association.
“This is our 7th year doing this event,” Virden said. “Every year, we travel to New Orleans, and purchase the muffaletta sandwiches from Central Grocery. We sell them here locally for our fundraiser. We typically sell up to 1200 sandwiches.”
Sandwich pick up will be held at St. Joe Parish Hall, next to the church downtown, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m..
Sandwiches are $20 each.
“It is a great fundraiser,” Virden continued. “We look forward to seeing everyone and we hope they enjoy this amazing sandwich.”
