The Washington County Board of Supervisors will be meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday to hear reports from multiple people, including the Emergency Management Director, County Engineer and Road Manager.
The board will also hear reports from Warfield Point Park Director Donald Davis following the vandalization incident, which took place Aug. 15 and incurred $30,000 worth of damage.
Attorney Willie Griffin, Vernell Horton, Dale Cusic and other Washington County fishermen will speak to the board regarding the closure of the Deerfield Road boat launch to Lake Lee.
The board will also consider a hunting and fishing lease for the 16th section public school trust land between Hollandale School District and Roy Schillings.
Although it’s not on the agenda, Supervisor Jerry Redmond said he wants to eventually get people in the Hollandale community together to talk about things that will help their local young men avoid activity that can lead to crime.
“Kids need to know how you can cut off opportunities for yourself at an early age if you become involved in the wrong things,” Redmond said.
