“The Leland Medical Clinic has become the medical ‘home’ for our community, and now we’ve added our new wellness center to also make it the home for fitness and healthy lifestyles,” said Kendarius Moore, DWC manager. “We’re excited to offer services not always found in communities such as ours. This is an important step forward in our efforts to improve the quality of life for our residents.”
DWC is open Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m.-7 p.m.; and on Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Monthly membership rates are: $10 for youth, $15 for adults, $30 for families, $10 for seniors and $20 for senior households.
Since opening in 2016, the Leland Medical Clinic – part of the Delta Health Alliance —has become an important community center that is bringing needed care to a region of the country that historically has been underserved when it comes to health services. Housed in the old city hospital, the facility offers quality healthcare to residents who might otherwise be forced to travel to see a doctor or nurse practitioner or even to find a place to exercise.
