Set the Captives Free Movement is hosting their Empowering the Community events, which will be a weekend filled with a variety of fun activities for residents of all ages to enjoy.
“The mission for this three-day weekend is to empower communities from which I was born,” said Jonasha Quinn, founder of Set the Captives Free.
Quinn said she is focusing on taking back the communities from the dangers of this world by cleaning the neighborhoods, empowering the youth and showcasing the many gifts in Greenville.
The goals for the weekend of events, she said, is to bring unity to the community, lead people to salvation through the way of the fruits of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control) and taking a stand in the community.
“It’s time to take a stand against the violence and doubt of not believing that we have what it takes to make a change in our community,” Quinn continued.
