The results of Greenville’s City Election held on Monday are in, and there were not upsets as a result.
Mayor Errick D. Simmons ran uncontested, yielding him an automatic victory.
Running for Ward 1 Council Member were Councilman William “Al” Brock, with a total of 180 votes, just nine votes more than Oliver Johnson with 171 votes.
Vying for the Ward 6 Council Member seat were incumbent James Wilson Sr., who secured his seat with a total vote count of 204, against Chauncy Wright, who received 114 votes.
Lois Hawkins ran uncontested and will retain her seat as Councilwoman for Ward 2.
