The run-off election is taking place today. Voting started at 7 a.m. this morning and will continue until 7 p.m. this evening at all 19 precincts.
To cast a ballot, voters must have a valid government-issued photo identification, which can include a driver’s license, a state-issued ID card, a passport, a government employee ID card, a firearms license, a student ID from any Mississippi college, a military ID or a Mississippi Voter identification card.
The run-off election is for three Democratic positions and two Republican positions.
Democratic Party
Central PSC District runoff is between Dorothy Benford and De’Keither Stamps.
District Senate 22 runoff is between Ruffin Smith and Joseph C. Thomas Sr.
Supervisor District 4 runoff is between Mala Brooks and Charles Patterson.
Republican Party
Governor runoff is between Tate Reeves and Bill Waller Jr.
Attorney General runoff is between Lynn Fitch and Andy Taggart.
