This weekend in Greenville will be an eventful, but somewhat damp one, as the 2019 Delta Hot Tamale Festival kicks off along with the Monuments on Main Street Greenville Cemetery Tour.
According to the National Weather Service in Jackson, a cold front moving in Thursday will bring in some dry air, making it rather chilly on Thursday and Friday evening, but pleasant during the day.
Temperatures will dip into the lower 40s Thursday evening and the lower 50s Friday evening.
Saturday, however, will be warmer and wetter as there are moderate chances and a possible isolated thunderstorm.
Rain chances will remain going into Saturday evening, but intense rain will be mostly limited to the south and storm chances will be greater in the east.
Rain chances will decrease Sunday and temperatures will increase making conditions favorable for the concluding Monuments on Main Street tour.
