2021 marks the 57th year that the Leland community has celebrated the holiday season with beautiful lights and floating Christmas scenes along scenic Deer Creek.
Beginning on the first Friday of December, come and see the arrival of Santa Claus on a water-propelled sleigh out by Deer Creek. Every Christmas he officially lights the trees and numerous floats on the creek. If you miss the ceremony, you can still see all of the floats since they will be left up until Dec. 31. This event has been named one of the "Top Twenty Events in the Southeast."
This year’s Christmas on Deer Creek will feature Breakfast with Frozen; outdoor concert; candy canes and cocktails; lighting of the tree; children’s parade; run run ru-duck; Deer Creek Christmas Market; food trucks and more.
