Mary Wright
LELAND — Funeral services for Mary Louise Wright, 58, of Leland, were held Monday, Aug. 10, at Roundaway Cemetery. She passed away Friday, Aug. 7, 2020, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Arrangements were under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mary was born in Indianola to J.B. And Gladys Townsend on Dec. 19, 1961. She married William Wright on July 11, 1981. She worked as a waitress for many years and then at Quick as a Wink Cleaners.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father, Gladys & J.B. Townsend; and her sister and brother in-law, Syble and Gene Summers.
Mary is survived by her lovingly, dedicated husband, Will Wright; sisters and brothers, Sharon Jefcoat (Mike Jefcoat), Melva Brooks (Bobby Brooks), Morris Townsend (Brenda Townsend), and Michael Townsend (Melissa Townsend); and a dozen nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews that she loved with every ounce of her being.
Mary lived life loudly and without regrets. She was one of those people you meet in life and never forget. To know her was to love her. She will be missed deeply by her family and friends.
