Mayor Errick D. Simmons is pleased to announce the return of Mississippi Delta Community College’s highly requested GHEC Non-Credit Courses, back by popular demand this July 2025. Offered at the Greenville Higher Education Center, these engaging and skill-building courses provide valuable learning opportunities for residents of all ages and backgrounds, no college credit required.
Course offerings include:
Adult & Child CPR & First Aid Certification
Dates: July 14, 16, 22, 28 | Time: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Instructor: Tony Flora, EMT (30 years)
Participants will earn a 2-year American Heart Association certification upon completion.
Health Is Wealth
Dates: July 14, 21, 28 | Time: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Instructor: Kay’s Kute Fruit
This class focuses on creative uses of fruits, vegetables, smoothies, and seeds to support wellness, cleanse the body, and lower blood pressure.
Beginning Photography
Dates: July 14, 21, 23 | Time: 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Instructor: Charlie Lum Photography
Students will review basics in lighting, lenses, and angles using traditional cameras.
Line Dancing
Dates: July 16, 17, 23, 30, 31 | Time: 10:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Instructor: Delta Divas
Participants will learn the latest line dancing steps to energize and exercise the body.
