Nora Branning
WAYSIDE — Graveside services for Nora Williams Branning, 87, of Wayside, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at Hollandale City Cemetery. She died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, at Delta Health-The Medical Center. Boone Funeral Home, Greenville, is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Branning was a native of Mississippi born on July 1, 1935, to George Buford and Ozzie Mae Keaton Williams. She worked as a sharecropper with her family and later moved to the Mississippi Delta. She was a homemaker to her children and also to the neighborhood children. Mrs. Branning had a love for flowers and gardening until she fell and broke her hip in 2018. She was loved by all and will be missed. She was of Baptist faith.
She is survived by two daughters, Renea Watford and Donna Hinton; two sons, Allen and Glen Powell; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
