BASTROP, Louisiana - Funeral services for Allen Byron Newton, 75, of Bastrop, Louisianan, were at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home in Leland. He died in Bastrop on Thursday, December 28, 2023. Burial was in the Hollandale City Cemetery.
Mr. Newton is preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Virginia Newton, whom he was happily married to. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert W. Newton, and a sister, Donna Susan Newton.
He is survived by three daughters, Jenny Pepper of Ridgeland, Ann Parker of West Monroe, Louisiana, and Donna Wroten of Clinton; son, Bobby Pepper of Richland; brother, Scott Newton of Raymond; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
A visitation was at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time on Tuesday.
