Charlie Brown
GREENVILLE — Graveside services for Charlie Cornelius Brown, 82, of Greenville, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 5, at Delta Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Frank Hall officiating. He died Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2020, at Allegiance Specialty Hospital, Greenville. Services are under the direction of T.L. Redmon Funeral Home, Cleveland. He was born June 6, 1938, to the late Frank and Rosalie Brown in Foote, MS. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Seven Day Adventist Church. He attended Greenville Public Schools and graduated from Coleman High School in 1958. He did further studies at Oakwood University in Huntsville, Alabama. After returning to Greenville, he worked for Dallriva Grain, Lewis Grocery, and Chew’s Construction for more than 20 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rosalie Brown; one sister, Laverne Brown Hartsfield; two brothers, Author and Frank Brown Jr.; three nephews, Ronnie Brown, Ralph Brown, and Reginald Brown; and one niece, Valerie R. Brown. He leaves to cherish his memory, two sisters, Myrtle D. Brown, of Greenville, and Joyce Ann Brown, of Chicago; one uncle, Herbert R. Wise (Muessetta), of Greenville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
