GREENVILLE, Mississippi - Funeral services for Mrs. Connie Tucker Gore, 100, of Greenville, who passed on April 18th, 2024 at her home were held 11 a.m. on Tuesday April 23, 2024 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Greenville. The family received friends on Monday, April 22, 2024 from 6-8 p.m. at Mortimer Funeral Home as well as on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the start of the service. Reverend Chris Vowell was officiating. Graveside services will be after the service at 2:30 p.m. at Barbee Cemetery in Clarksdale. Serving as pallbearers were Kurt Pollack, Bailey Pollack, CJ Gore, Jessie Ballard, Patrick Hendon, Michael Gore who are grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers are Jamie and Noah Gore who are grandsons as well.
Connie Gore was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She served as a nurse for King's Daughters Hospital of Greenville for over 40 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons: James Andrew Gore Jr. and Norman Richmond Smith, as well as her siblings.
She is survived by her three sons: Ernest Tucker Gore of Madison, Stephen Elmer Gore (Beth) of Toxey, Alabama, and David Allen Gore (Carmen) of Bartlett, Tennessee, and three daughters: Dr. Emily Smith Weber of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Connie Gore Ballard (Grady) of Greenville, and Lela Gore Sewell (Mark) of Greenwood. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
