Gwindolin Montgomery
GREENVILLE — Funeral services for Gwindolin “Sue” Montgomery, 71, of Greenville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, at Boone Funeral Home. She passed away Saturday, Aug. 1, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Desoto, after a lengthy illness. Burial will follow at the Greenville Cemetery, under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born April 26, 1949, in Greenville, to Arthur and Doris Montgomery. She was a very dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by many. Sue’s love for her family and helping others was one of a kind. Her family is a very close family and they meant the world to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Timothy Montgomery. Survivors include three daughters, who were her world. These daughters are Susan “Rena” (Donnie) Buford, of Greenville, Donna Marie (Jeff) Cremeen, of Greenville, and Leslie “Juna” (Russ) Smiley, of Clarksville, TN. She had eight grandchildren, Ashley (Dylan) Ross, Olivia Buford, Charlie Cremeen, Courtlyn Irion Tallhorse, Madisin Irion, Cheyenne Smiley, Jammie Cremeen, and Fred Cremeen. She had eight great-grandchildren, Jessie Griffin, Layton Griffin, Chloe Love, Hayes Ross, Peyton Cremeen, Kruze Jackson, Raylen Cremeen, and Cooper Tallhorse. She leaves her brothers, Jerry Montgomery, David Montgomery, Eddie Montgomery, Jeffrey Montgomery, Joseph Montgomery, Adam Montgomery, and Arthur Montgomery; as well as sisters, Ruth Willis, Ann Parr and Frances Montgomery. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at Boone Funeral Home. Ronald Webb will officiate.
