Mary Catherine Greco
GREENVILLE — Funeral mass for Mary Catherine Carroll Greco, 78, of Greenville, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Father Bill Henry officiating. She died Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, at Delta Regional Medical Center, Greenville. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. A private entombment will follow at 2 p.m. in Greenville Cemetery, under the direction of Mortimer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Greco was born Dec. 15, 1940, in Macon, Georgia, to the late John F. Carroll and Rose S. Carroll.
She was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a Eucharist Minister, and very active in church activities, such as a Healing Masses, Adoration Weekly, St. Monica Prison Ministry, and Bereavement Support Team. She enjoyed the New Comers Club and the book club and was an avid card player.
In 1958, She married Frank Anthony Greco at St. James Catholic Church in Leland.
Mrs. Greco was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by her family and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a son, Frank Anthony Greco Jr.
She is survived by her son, John Gerald Greco, of San Francisco, California; a daughter, Cathy Greco Fratesi (Gary), of Indianola; two grandchildren, Ali Fratesi Pinion (Dustin), of Starkville, and Garrett Andrew Fratesi (Alyssa Blaze Barsamian), of Greenville; three sisters-in-law, Sara Tubertini, of Ridgeland, Rose Marie Powers, of Jackson, and Jean Carroll, of Marrow, Louisiana; and a brother-in-law, Sam Greco (Ann) of Byram.
