Robert Russell
GRENADA — Robert Lamar Russell, 84, of Grenada, died Thursday, July 23, 2020, at his home.
He was born Sept. 11, 1935, in Yazoo County, to the late Robert Douglas and Estelle Saxton Russell. He resided in Moorhead and Greenwood before moving to Grenada 15 years ago. Mr. Russell proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean War, where he was stationed in Guam. He retired from catfish farming after 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Harris Russell and Jesse Russell.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Cox Russell, of Grenada: two sons, Jamey Russell, of Grenada, and James Louis Russell, of Grenada; two daughters, Jennifer Russell, of Greenville, and Melanie Russell Hill (Gary), of Riverview, FL; a sister, Shirley Stalvey (Sam), of Clermont, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
