DeSOTO, Texas — Funeral services for Sharron R. (Carter) Franklin, 58 of Desoto, TX, and formerly of Greenville, MS, will be Thursday, March 23 at the River of Life Church in Desoto, TX, with Apostle Donald E. Cleveland, Sr. officiating. She died March 8, 2023, at Baylor Scott White T. Boone Pickens Cancer Hospital in Dallas, TX. She had been sick since returning home from attending her 40 th Greenville High School Class of 1981 reunion in July 2022.
She was an anointed, inspirational, God-called, and God-ordained daughter of God with a prophetic calling on her life. She was licensed as a missionary in the Church of God in Christ by the late Bishop Roy L.H. Winbush, Louisiana First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. She has traveled to Israel and preached in various locations throughout the United States. Her main concern was pleasing and obeying God by telling people the unadulterated truth. She loved all her family and she will be truly missed.
She was married to one husband for 38 years, Derrick Franklin, Sr. Also, her fond memories will be remembered by her daughters, Olivia, Erika, and Derrica; son, Derrick Jr.; grandson, Joshua;
granddaughter, Ray’Niyah; mother, Evangelist Missionary Glory McCombs; twin brothers, Lamar (Diane) and Lamont (Terrie); sister, Regina (Aron); Godson, Juan Jr.; Goddaughter, Keanna; God granddaughter, Alexis, and a host of other family members and friends she loved dearly.
