Monday, March 4, at the regular board of supervisors meeting Andrew Smith who is retained by the Board as its ARPA consultant was moved to the end of the agenda because he was coming before the board in an executive session immediately following the regular session.
“Possible litigation,” Washington County Board of Supervisors president Carl McGee said.
Smith needed signatures on finalized project pay orders totaling $8,400.
McGee asked Smith how much of the money went to him and Smith said $6,000 of it is going for administration fees to his consulting firm.
Smith started to speak on the water projects for Arcola, but McGee stopped him and said that was the executive session part and not to talk about it in the regular session.
Smith quickly switched to an Adaptive Renewal Project that is being done in other counties with moderate success and said “I would like to sit down with the board for an hour and a half to discuss some projects and proposals related to that.”
With no other business to discuss publicly, the board went into executive session.
