Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday in Washington County for a mid-term election with 10 items on the ballot.
There is one contested election for the 2nd congressional district between incumbent Democrat Bennie Thompson and Republican Brian Flowers.
There are six judicial elections. Only two are contested.
In the non-partisan election for Chancery Court District 9-2, Renia D. Anderson faces Debra M. Giles. In the race for Washington County Court Judge, Tonya P. Franklin is facing Vernita King Johnson. Bennie Richard for Chancery District 9-1, Margaret Carey-McCray for Circuit Court District 4-2, Carol White Richard for Circuit Court District 4-3 and Ashley Hines for Circuit Court District 4-4 are unopposed.
There are three races for school boards in the county and only one is contested.
Eddie B. Johnson is facing Brandon Taylor for Leland School Board District L03. Larry Oneal Franklin Sr. in Western Line District WL-2 and Shirley Williams in Hollandale District H-2 are unopposed.
