The public is invited to join us for a reception on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 5-7 p.m. at the Malkin Gallery at the E.E. Bass Cultural Arts Center to celebrate the new mural installed at our local Walmart.
After months of curiosity and questions like, 'Who painted the mural at Walmart?' 'Who is the artist?' 'Can I get a print of the painting?' and 'Will GAC bring this artist to the gallery?'—we've made it happen.
Join us for a special celebration honoring the artist, Herb Willey, and his stunning commissioned watercolor piece now featured in Walmart’s lobby.
The event will include live blues music, Delta-inspired food and drinks, and autographed prints of the painting.
