LELAND — Leland attorney Josh Bogen announced the reward for information leading to the identification and arrest of the person(s) responsible for the murder of Ben Walker III has been increased to $25,000, effective immediately.
Walker, a 74-year-old Tribbett resident, was found shot to death on June 30 near the Bogue Philia Bridge on the Tribbett Road east of Leland.
Anyone with information regarding this crime must call the Crime Stoppers Tips Hotline, 662-378-TIPS (8477) or via the P3 Tips app. All callers will remain absolutely anonymous but assigned a number.
Bogen expressed on behalf of the Walker Family their appreciation for the work being done to solve this horrible crime by all the law enforcement agencies involved, especially the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. He also expressed the family’s appreciation for Crime Stoppers of Washington County for their cooperation and support.
