WINONA, Mississippi - Services were held on Monday, March 17, at 2 p.m. in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel for Sammie Dale Pearson. Mr. Bo Surrell will officiate the services. Burial will follow in Huntsville Church of Christ Cemetery near Kilmichael, MS. Pallbearers will be Luke Pearson, Douglas Pearson, Allen Pearson, Josh Pearson, Glen Pearson and Brian Flemming.
He is survived by his wife Betty Love Pearson, his four sons, Gary, Kenneth, Ricky and Keith. He was preceded in death by his daughter Cathy Ann Pearson, his mother and father Brownie McWhorter Pearson and Sam Howard Pearson, one brother Lenis Pearson and sister Nina Pearson McQuirter. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, Tyler, Luke, Keith, William, Riane, Daniel, Taylor, Douglas, Allen, Jessica, Mary Katherine, Josh and Clair Love.
Dale was a manager for USG Interiors in Greenville, MS for forty-three years. He retired and moved back to Montgomery County and worked on his farm. He and Betty were high school sweethearts, he loved sports and was captain of the football team his senior year, he served in the Army National Guard for eight years, he was a member of Catfish Point hunting club, he served as a trustee, deacon and Sunday school teacher for South Main Church of Christ in Greenville, MS. After moving to Winona, MS he was a member of the Winona Church of Christ. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Monday, March 17, from noon until 2 p.m. at Oliver Funeral Home of Winona.
