YAZOO CITY— In a huge road victory Greenville Christian School’s Williette Kingdom made a steal and a layup with 3 seconds to go to provide the difference in a hotly contested game. GCS won the game 54-53.
The Lady Saints led by ten going into the fourth quarter, but Manchester hit 3 three-pointers in a row to make it a one-point game.
Both teams swapped leads before the steal and layup by Kingdom. Kingdom finished with with 21 points. Tariyah Washington added 16 points and Taylor Ellis had 9 points and 11 rebounds. Hanna Havens led Manchester with 13 points.
The Greenville Christian School boys team also defeated Manchester, 40 to 37.
