Greenville’s own Dillon Johnson is expected to play for college football’s ultimate prize.
Johnson, a star running back for the University of Washington, told reporters on Saturday that he will “be ready to rock and roll and give whatever my team needs” in his team’s game Monday night in the College Football Playoff National Championship against Michigan.
Johnson, who starred at St. Joseph Catholic School, suffered a bruised left knee and reinjured his right foot in the final minutes of the Huskies victory against Texas.
Johnson has had an outbreak season this year and has become one of the biggest stars in college football. He has rushed for 1,162 yards and 16 touchdowns this season.
Let’s go Dillon!
