Nelson’s 29 points pace Simmons over O’Bannon

Simmons High School Zach Nelson scored a gane-high 29 points to lead his team to a 64-56 road victory over O’Bannon High School Thursday night. Prentavis Madison scored 14 points, Dee Rush scored 13 points and Ta’Lavion Seals added six points for the Blue Devils.
The victory moved the Blue Devils’ record to 3-2 this season.

With a balanced offense the Washington School boys basketball team defeated Indianola Academy 38-27 Monday night,
Nathan Thompson led the Generals (7-1) with nine points. Aidan Jones scored and Ty Signa each scored seven points with Jones adding six rebounds and four assists. Christian Britt scored six points.

Florida State running back Trey Benson, a former standout at St. Joseph Catholic School and O’Bannon High School, continues to make his mark with the Seminoles.
On Saturday in his team’s 49-17 victory over Louisiana, Benson led the Seminoles again with 80 yards rushing, giving him 854 in the season.

Sophomore Charlisa Barney drops 29 points in Honeybees' 64-34 win over Amanda Elzy

Greenville High School sophomore Charlisa Barney scored a season high 29 points to help lead her Honeybees to a 64-34 road victory at Amanda Elzy Tuesday night.
Barney made 11 of her 18 field goal attempts in the game and also made two 3-pointers, while also coming up with eight steals.
