On Friday, Oct. 25, 2024, around 11:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Highway 1 North in reference to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
When officers arrived, they found Carolyn Cornelius, 55, of Boyle, had been struck by a vehicle traveling southbound.
Cornelius was pronounced dead at the scene.
