Greenville Hornets fall to Wolves

Despite his team losing its baseball game 10-0 Monday night to Cleveland Central, Greenville High School coach Jeffrey Jones was still seeing some positives. Jones’ Hornets missed most of the last two seasons because of COVID-19, and the team is still learning how to play baseball together and how to play the right way.

Riverside High School's Jason Irion named Planters Bank Player of the Week

Riverside High School’s Jason Irion has been named the Planters Bank Player of the Week for what he does at the plate and on the mound.
Irion, a junior, has been a team leader for the Bulldogs this season, and his play is a big reason why Riverside has a 8-3 overall record.

Greenville Hornet Martavious Simmons named Planters Bank Player of the Week

Greenville High School senior Martavious Simmons has been named the Planters Bank Player of the Week because of how he plays the game and how he leads his team.
Simmons is the Hornets’ No. 1 pitcher this season. When he is not on the mound, he is in centerfield, showing his teammates how to play the game the right way.
