Having blown away their first 11 opponents of the year, the Simmons Blue Devils faced their first real adversity of the season on the road against Lumberton on Friday night in the third round of the MHSAA Class 1A playoffs.
And, the Blue Devils (12-0) passed this test with flying colors in their 22-18 victory.
