The Greenville High School and Washington School cross country teams (pictured above) gathered for a photo after a Saturday morning practice on a new cross country course located by the Mississippi River Levee walking trail. The course was made available to the students by the Mississippi Levee Board, and the first cross country meet at the new course will take place on Oct. 11.

Athletes from Greenville High School and Washington School are coming together to compete on a new cross country course provided to them by the Mississippi Levee Board.
The new course, located behind the Mississippi River Levee walking trail, provides runners with both a unique test and a scenic view of Lake Ferguson.

Riverside shows great fight in loss to JZ George

The Riverside High School football team never quit Friday night in their 14-6 home loss to J.Z. George. After losing their first five games by at least 36 points in each game, the Bulldogs showed they are showing a lot of improvement under their new coach Will Rodgers.

The Washington School girls soccer team played its last game of the season Thursday night at home against Pillow Academy. The six seniors on the team (Elly Hitt, Maddie Jones, Eva Wade, Lela Signa, Brantley Nimrod and Julia Walker) embrace for one last hug as soccer teammates.
