Future Tour Championship swings into Greenville this weekend

The Future Tour Championship officially begins on Saturday at the Greenville Golf and Country Club, but the Southern hospitality by those who volunteer at the tournament began much sooner than that.
On Friday morning, about 50 adult volunteers, donned in red polo shirts, were at the golf course at 6 a.m. to welcome any morning golfers.

Sam Burns holds the trophy after winning the Charles Schwab Challenge golf tournament at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, Sunday. Burns, from Shreveport, came to Greenville twice as a youngster to play in the Future Tour Championship.

Both Scottie Scheffler and Sam Burns, two of the games hottest and best players on the PGA Tour, have a little bit of Greenville in their games.
The two golfers battled it out in a playoff on Sunday at the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth.
