Is Trump’s will the people’s will?

The U.S. Constitution was our founding fathers’ best effort to create a system where the “will of the people” could prevail. They established a congress of representatives of the people to provide that will. Of course, that only yielded the will of the congressional majority not of all people.

July 1 brings winners, losers

July 1 will see winners and losers across the state courtesy of the Mississippi Legislature and Gov. Tate Reeves.
The sales tax on groceries will drop from 7% to 5% providing a win to consumers. The benefit will apply to retail sales of food or drink for human consumption not purchased with government food stamps.
