Greg Fore’s defensive play carries Fighting Irish into state semis

In their 45-6 victory over North Delta (6-6), the St. Joseph Catholic School Fighting Irish (6-5) were led by their electrifying senior, Greg Fore, in a crucial home win in the MAIS Class 3A Quarterfinals. St. Joseph will travel this Friday for their state semifinal showdown against Canton Academy (7-4).

O'Bannon drops to 4-2 after loss to Shelby Northside

The O’Bannon Greenwaves were held scoreless as they lost Friday’s night home conference game to the Shelby Northside Gators 28-0.
The Greenwaves dropped to a 4-2 record on the season.
Coach Lynn Lang said the biggest challenge on Friday tonight was “playing behind the chains.”

Greenville Hornets fall to Humphreys County

Despite the Greenville Hornets’ improved performance after a tough 1-pt loss against Ruleville Central the previous week, the Hornets fell to the Humphreys County Cowboys Friday night 22-12. Greenville Coach George Richardson believes his team did a great job including two defensive scores on the night.
