Oh, come now. That’s only one out. Patrick Taylor has a whole batting order to face. He claims Trump is out with three strikes. (“Trump Has Not Met Expectations of His Supporters,” Northside Sun 12/12/26). OK, but we’re in only the second inning. I’m more than pleased with Trump’s performance after months and it’s a lot better than I thought it would be. There are inaccuracies coming out of Taylor’s hand and sloppy conflation of fact with fiction. Now Taylor is out of strikes and is beginning to throw only balls. My diagnosis: a debilitating case of TDS.
Actually, the inflation rate is down from Biden’s incredible mess of 9.1 % to a relieving 2.7% in November. Where did Chat GPT get Taylor’s numbers? Gas prices from $5 under Biden (it was like a drunk man swinging wildly for the fences.) to $2.29 at my pump this week. Pretty good for 11 months on the job. First pitch, ball one.
No, Trump has not undertaken to change the US immigration policy because nothing was wrong with it. We just needed someone with the fortitude to enforce it. Yes, some immigrants apparently have not broken other laws, but they are here illegally. That’s breaking the law. Try a legal entry and get citizenship; that’s fair. Assimilate. Learn the language. Get a job. I wonder about the pitcher’s balk—a mixture of ideas of citizens being arrested. Maybe they’re in the wrong crowd—meaning, assisting illegals. Second pitch, ball two.
Think, the ICE agents are simply doing their job in removing illegals and following the law Congress put on the books. The honest approach is amendment. Laws have to be changed and jobs descriptions must be amended. Secretary Kristi Noem is leading a legitimate agency and is doing a remarkable job. Some Congressmen don’t know the basics of civics and their jobs--and should resign. I wonder how Taylor would face the tragedy that some parents have had to undergo because a heretofore seeming law-abiding illegal, maybe for years like Abrego Garcia, murders a loved one or has been carrying on a human smuggling operation for years. Get legal or get out. Third pitch, ball three.
Why raise suspicion or doubt about the terminations of the fentanyl peddlers in swift boats in the Caribbean? The military has its sources of intelligence. After all, it’s confusing isn’t it, because most poor fishermen use swift boats, don’t they, speeding along at 50+ mph as they allow their nets to fill up and then off again with a boat load of fish? Only about 40+ swift boats terminated already. Given the numbers, it’s pretty commonplace for fishermen. Is that what Taylor would believe? Fourth pitch, ball four.
Mr. Trump has redefined the office of president. It’s a great benefit to have a businessman behind the Resolute desk because he’s not faked off by overzealous legislators who actually don’t know what they’re talking about most of the time in the area of money, business trends, budget, and finance. Obama’s cabinet had three cabinet members with business experience. With Democrats it all about buttering someone’s bread. Let people give all they desire with their own money. I like to, but I don’t want the government acting as Santa Claus all year long with the U.S. checkbook. DOGE did a great job for us. Here’s a Christmas gift idea: include U.S. Aid on your Christmas list.
