Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ray Brantley, of Greenville, Mississippi, are honored to announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Anna Marie Brantley, to Mr. John Shannon Gillentine, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ray Gillentine, Junior, of Tupelo, Mississippi.
The bride elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Clara C. Dotson and the late Mr. Albert Clyde Dotson, Junior, of Winona, Mississippi, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Tobie Dunn Brantley, of Kilmichael, Mississippi. The bridegroom elect is the grandson of Mrs. Mary Clayton Gillentine and the late Mr. Kenneth Ray Gillentine, Senior, of Dorsey, Mississippi, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Claude Raymond (Bain) Shannon of Pontotoc, Mississippi.
Anna is a 2007 graduate of Washington School. She attended Mississippi State University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies.
John Shannon is a 2004 graduate of Tupelo High School. He attended the University of Mississippi, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
The couple are part business owners of Taylor Grocery Special Events Catering, Oxford, Mississippi. While John Shannon runs the daily operations of the business; Anna is an Educational Specialist for the North Mississippi Education Consortium at the University of Mississippi.
The couple will exchange vows on May 15, 2021, at the First United Methodist Church, Tupelo, Mississippi.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend the ceremony and a reception to follow at the Tupelo Cotton Mill.
