The Western Line School District on Wednesday announced a new interim principal for Riverside High School.
Sharing the news on its Facebook page, the district stated Shawneequa Beal is replacing the former principal, Dr. Brad Blake.
“She has a wealth of experience as a secondary principal, and her knowledge and capabilities will continue to move Riverside High forward,” the district stated.
A community meet and greet will soon take place for parents and stakeholders to officially meet Beal, the district also stated.
According to the statement, Blake’s departure was a mutual decision between himself, Superintendent Lawrence Hudson, and WLSD school Board, due to personal issues that cannot be discussed.
“The Western Line School District will continue to promote a safe and orderly learning environment for all of our students and staff,” the district stated.
The district has also asked that people follow their social media pages for up-to-date and accurate information.
