Washington School coach Greg Wallace said his young team is fighting hard, but are still making too many mistakes in their 42-0 road loss to Magnolia Heights on Friday.
A bright spot for the Washington program is the play of many of the General junior varsity as many of these players saw action in the second half Friday.
Wallace said freshman like Ty Signa, J.D. Bennett and Parker Brown all did well Friday.
These three players also helped the General junior varsity team defeat Starkville Academy 42-0 on Thursday.
“It is tough. They are fighting through it, but it is just not good enough right now,” Wallace said.
The Generals record fell to 1-5 with the loss. Magnolia Heights improved to 3-3.
