Two Greenville High School athletes signed National Letters of Intent Wednesday to play football at the next level.
Trey McCray, an explosive defensive back and the son of head coach Quintarus McCray, signed to play for Hinds Community College in Raymond.

In 28 years of coaching high school football, Riverside High School coach Jim Risen has never been through a situation like this.
On Sept. 10, the Western Line School District announced that it would reinstate football. Risen’s Bulldogs first game is scheduled for Oct. 2 against fellow Western Line rival O’Bannon High School.

Thankful some area players found a place to play

There is definitely no one who is right or wrong in this situation, but it does kind of tell you about how life really works.
I am referring to the fact that a number of football players in our area who played at public schools have recently transferred and are now on the roster of some of our private schools in the area.
