Students participating in the R.O.A.R. Enrichment program, which began Monday and will last through June 28, will be “Raising Our Academic Readiness.”
R.O.A.R Enrichment is a nonprofit organization that aims to empower disadvantaged scholars to become the best students and to empower them to become the most important catalyst in their lives.
R.O.A.R offers an enrichment service that provides summer and after school enrichment programs through a model curriculum, that supports children and families around five essential components: high quality academic enrichment, parent and family involvement, social action, civic engagement and servant leadership development.
Charlie Ezekiel Jr., executive director/ president of R.O.A.R. Enrichment, looks forward to working with the scholars.
“Our overall mission is to provide scholars with the quality care of learning to excel academically,” Ezekiel said. “Our vision is to raise the academic standard of each scholar day by day.”
R.O.A.R. aims to serve a minimum of 50 students each summer. Scholars are students enrolled in public and private school districts and reside in Washington County.
There is a $100 tuition fee for scholars and registration is still open. Monetary contributions can be made payable to R.O.A.R. Enrichment and mailed to 1016 Margaret Blvd.
