The Mississippi River Chapter will host the 23rd Annual National Wild Turkey Banquet February 7th at the Washington County Convention Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m.
The evening will feature door prizes, raffle packages, games, and silent and live auctions. In addition to the regular auction package, live auction will include outstanding items such as calls from local call-makers, youth deer and turkey hunts, pheasant hunt for two, turkey hunt for two, and duck hunts. Entertainment will be provided by Raymond Longoria.
Ticket prices (which also include membership in the National Wild Turkey Federation) are as follows: $20 for JAKES; $60 for single, $80 for couple, and $320-$1,000 for sponsors. Funds raised are used to promote wild turkey habitat in Mississippi, for wild turkey conservation, and important programs that introduce the outdoors to women, children and the disabled. Last year approximately $8,000 of banquet proceeds went to conserve and promote turkey hunting in Mississippi.
