It’s almost time to vote.
Polls will open at 7 a.m., and residents have until 7 p.m. Tuesday to get out and cast their vote for several state and county positions in the county and general election.
To cast a ballot, voters must have a valid government-issued photo identification, which can include a driver’s license, a state-issued ID card, a passport, a government employee ID card, a firearms license, a student ID from any Mississippi college, a military ID or a Mississippi Voter identification card.
On the ballot are governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, state auditor, state treasurer, secretary of state, commissioner of agriculture and commerce and several senate and house seats. Voters also get to cast a ballot for several local positions, including chancery clerk, tax assessor, circuit clerk, tax collector, coroner, county attorney, sheriff, constables, supervisor seats and justice court judge.

Vying for the lieutenant governor seat are Delbert Hosemann (Republican) and Jay Hughest (Democrat).
Running for secretary of state are Johnny Dupree (Democrat) and Michael Watson (Republican).
In the race for attorney general are Jennifer Riley Collins (Democrat) and Lynn Fitch (Republican).
The single candidate for state auditor is Shad White (Republican).
State treasurer candidates are Addie Lee Green (Democrat) and David McRae (Republican).
Commissioner of agriculture and commerce opponents are Rickey L. Cole (Democrat) and Andy Gipson (Republican).
