The Young Professionals Committee of the Washington County Economic Alliance (WCEA) is looking to attract new members to join in executing the committee’s mission to positively impact the economy of Washington County.
The committee will host an interest meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Washington County Economic Alliance Conference Room located at 342 Washington Ave.
The Young Professionals Committee’s mission is to provide young professionals with opportunities to learn, lead and grow personally and professionally.
The WCEA’s workforce and special programs coordinator Angelica Richards said the meeting is an opportunity for young minds to come together and discuss what they’d like to see happen in the community. It also teaches how to network effectively and encourages its members to give back to the community.
“We’ll have some young professionals from the health field, media and other areas discussing how they can use their professions to make change,” Richards said.
One example Richards gave of what will be discussed at the meeting is community service projects.
“We want to all just get together in an effort to make a difference in Washington County,” she said. “When great minds align for a common good, great things can happen.”
