State of the City address set to steam live Thursday

After two scheduling changes due to the recent inclement weather, Mayor Errick Simmons announced that he will deliver the State of the City Address at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 4.

The event will be streamed live to the City of Greenville’s Facebook page and aired on local channel 12.

City’s water woes not over, yet

Water pressure in the City of Greenville is still not as powerful as it should be.
As of Friday, average water pressure for the City of Greenville was measured at 59 to 60 pounds per square inch (psi) according to public works deputy director Ronnie Washington.

Johnson appointed as newest GPSD board trustee

Dr. Oliver Johnson has been appointed to serve as a trustee on the Greenville Public School board for a five-year term beginning March 1.
The Greenville City Council voted 3-1 to appoint Johnson during its regular Tuesday meeting.
Councilmembers Tasha Banks and Al Brock abstained from the vote.
