Greenville Christian Lady Saints defeat Hebron Christian to advance to the state semifinals

BAY SPRINGS — The Greenville Christian School girls basketball team defeated Hebron Christian 71-35 Tuesday to advance to the semifinals of the MAIS Class 2A State Basketball Tournament at Sylva-Bay Academy.

The Lady Saints jumped out to a 38-20 halftime lead and never let up.

The Office of Emergency Management sent out a message Friday afternoon that sand and bags are available this weekend at the Washington County Expo Building due to a threat of flash flooding next week.

Young hoopsters win 3-on-3 Junior NBA Crown

The Greenville Park Commission's 11-and-under team, coached by Rodney Quinn, competed in the 2020 Junior NBA MLK 3-on-3 tourney in Memphis, Tennessee. The team went undefeated throughout pool play and playoff rounds. They then went on to compete in the championship game and were victorious.
