Recycling bins leaving Greenville this week

All of the city’s community recycling bins will soon be rid of due to grant funds for the bins being exhausted.

Kathy Avis of OmniSource/Steel Dynamics Inc., said she anticipates the city’s four bins will be completely removed by Thursday at the latest.

Trash pickup schedule for New Year’s Eve

In observance of New Year’s Day, trash pick up schedules and city hall hours of operation will be affected in Washington County towns and municipalities.

Greenville City Hall and the Washington County Courthouse will be closed on Wednesday, New Year’s Day, resuming regular hours on Thursday.
